Holy Rosary Bazaar – Kermes de Holy Rosary

Join us for the 2011 Holy Rosary Bazaar Sunday August 28 beginning with Pancake Breakfast for $5 from 8 am til noon. Ethnic food will be available from 12:00 pm, including potica, pizzelles, apple strudel, Slovenian sausage, tacos, gorditas, enchiladas, snow cones and cotton candy. Entertainment begins with Krakowiacy dancers (from St. Joseph’s Polish Church), Tom Allan’s Variety Music, Matachines, Grupo Super Suave, Los Prisioneros de Chihuahua, Grupo Veneno and Juan Jose Cruz “El Chepo.”  There will be pony rides, an air castle, face painting and games for the children and tours of the historic church from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm. Support your parish, meet your neighbors and enjoy this parish activity.

Kermes de Holy Rosary Domingo 28 de Agosto de 8 am a 8 pm. Desayuno de pancakes hasta el mediodía $5. Variedad de platillos de comida étnica, incluyendo tacos, enchiladas, gorditas, potica, pizzelles, strudel de manzana, Slovenian sausage, raspados, algodónes de azúcar.

Please join us as we wish Archbishop Charles Chaput, OFM farewell and express our appreciation for his service at a Mass to be celebrated on Friday August 26th at 7:00 pm at the National Western Complex at 4655 Humboldt Street in Denver.
Holy Rosary is in need of catechists for the 1st Communion and Confirmation classes for both Spanish and English groups. Classes will be starting in September. Please contact Cynthia Castillo at 720-364-1762 to volunteer.
Things are coming together for this year’s parish bazaar to be held Sunday, August 28th. We will begin with pancake breakfast and bake sale from 8:00 am until noon. There will be ethnic food favorites, music, activities and games for the kids. Invite your family, friends and neighbors. Meet your fellow parishioners by spending an hour to help.

Father Robert Phillip Meznar

The Reverend Robert P. Meznar V.F. was born in Denver on July 30, 1934, went to Swansea Grade School K-5th grade, then Annuciation 6-12th grade and graduated in 1952. Father Robert entered St. Thomas Seminary in 1952 where he earned his B.A. in Philosophy, 1956 and his M.A. in Religious Education, 1959. Ordained a priest in Denver on June 4, 1960, Father Meznar served in six parishes as a parochial vicar including Cure d’Ars Parish, Denver; St. John the Evangelist Parish, Loveland; St. Anthony of Padua Parish, Denver; St. Bernadette Parish, Lakewood; Church of the Risen Christ, Denver; and St. Catherine of Siena, Denver.  When first appointed a pastor, it was to St. Peter the Apostle in Fleming, then to St. Peter Parish in Crook before returning to Denver to serve as pastor at St. Catherine of Siena in Denver from which he retired.
Father Meznar was always available to help celebrate Mass or officiate at funerals. He was a tireless servant, and his life is a great example of Christian living.

Starting on Friday, August 5th, there will be monthly exposition of the Blessed Sacrament and Confession with exposition from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm and Confessions during this time. This will continue every 1st Friday at Holy Rosary.
Archdiocesan Charismatic Ministries Outreach: “Fanning the Flame: Called to love, called to serve.” September 23 – 25, 2011 at the Red Lion Hotel Southeast, 3200 S. Parker Rd., Aurora, CO. The next planning meeting for the Holy Rosary bazaar will be held Wednesday, August 10 at 7:00 pm in the parish office. We welcome your ideas and your help.

Exposición del Santísmo Sacramento y confesiones mensualmente: Cada primer viernes del mes comenzando el 5 de Agosto, se expondrá el Santísmo Sacramento de 6:00 pm a las 7:00 pm. Habrá confesiones durante esta hora mientras el Santísimo esté expuesto.
Cursos en Centro San Juan Diego: El próximo domingo 7 de agosto se estarán promocionando los cursos y talleres que se imparten en el Centro San Juan Diego, si deseas información te invitamos a que pases a la mesa que estará en la entrada de la iglesia, gracias.

The parish council meeting will be held this Friday, July 22nd at 6:00 pm in the parish office.

We will be holding a planning meeting for our parish bazaar
on Wednesday, July 13th at 7:00 pm in the parish office. We are in need of are in need of ideas and volunteers – everyone is welcome to attend.
The parish council meeting has been rescheduled for Friday, July 22nd at 6:00 pm in the parish office.
Sunday, July 17th will be our next Pancake Breakfast after each English Mass in the former Holy Rosary School. We hope that people could volunteer in the kitchen for an hour or so.
The parish welcomes Deacon Frank Enderle and his wife Susan who recently moved to Colorado to be closer to family. Deacon Frank will be helping at both Our Lady of Grace and Holy Rosary parishes, as well as assisting at the seminary in deacon formation. We feel blessed to have you here!


Vamos a celebrar nuestro kermes segunda parroquia el domingo, 28 de agosto y están en necesidad de las ideas y los voluntarios. Una reunión de planificación se llevará a cabo Miércoles, 13 de julio a las 7:00 pm a la Oficina Parroquial -todos son bienvenidos a asistir.
Desayuno de Panckaes: El próximo domingo 17 de Julio, tendremos nuestro tradicional desayuno de pancakes después de cada Misa en Ingles en la antigua escuela de Holy Rosary. Te invitamos a apoyarnos en la recaudación de fondos para nuestra Parroquia.
Reunión del consuejo parroquial: Esta reunión será reprogramada para el día viernes 22 de Julio a las 6:00 pm en la oficina de la Parroquia.
La parroquia da la bienvenida a diácono Frank Enderle y su esposa Susan, quien recientemente se mudó a Colorado paraestar más cerca de la familia. Diácono Frank estará ayudando tanto a la Virgen de Gracia y Holy Rosary parroquias, así como la asistencia en el seminario de formación de diáconos. Nos sentimos bendecidos de tenerlo aquí!

Catechists’ Appreciation Luncheon: We will have an appreciation luncheon for all catechists and their families on Sunday, July 10th at 12:30 pm at the Parish Center.

Comida de Agradecimiento para Catequistas: Tendremos una comida para las catequistas y sus familias el próximo domingo 10 de Julio a las 12:30 pm al terminar la misa de 11:30 am; será en la ex escuela de Holy Rosary.

The parish is in need of Catechists for the 1st Communion and Confirmation for both English and Spanish classes. Please call Cynthia Castillo at 720-364-1762 if you are interested.
We are starting registration for 1st Communion and Confirmation classes for the first and second year, as well as for adults who need to receive one or all Sacraments of Christian Initiation. Requirements are:

  • 1st year and adults: fill out a registration form at the Parish office, bring a Baptismal certificate and pay a fee of $40.00. (if not baptized please bring a birth certificate)
  • 2nd year: Fill out a registration form and pay a fee of $40.00.

We will be holding our second parish bazaar on Sunday, August 28th and are in need of ideas and volunteers. Our next planning meeting will be held Wednesday, June 29th at 6:00 pm in the Holy Rosary Parish Office – everyone is welcome to attend.

Necesitamos Catequistas: Necesitamos voluntarios para las clases de 1era. Comunión y Confirmación en ingles y en español, interesados favor de comunicarse al 720-364-1762 con Cynthia Castillo.
Inscripciones para clases de catecismo: Hemos comenzado las inscripciones para las clases de Primera Comunión y Confirmación de 1ro y 2do. Año también las clases para adultos que necesiten recibir uno o todos los sacramentos de Iniciación Cristiana. Requisitos:

  • 1er. Año y adultos: Llenar forma de inscripción en la oficina parroquial, traer la fe de bautismo y pagar la cuota de $40.00 dólares (si no esta bautizado, deberá traer el acta de naciemeinto)
  • 2do. Año: Llenar forma de re-inscripción y hacer el pago de $40.00 dólares.

Pancake Breakfast – Desayuno de Panqueques

Holy Rosary Parish is holding its monthly pancake breakfast Sunday June 12th, from 8:30 am to 12:00 pm. $5.00 buys a hearty breakfast of bacon, eggs and has browns. The pancake breakfast is held in the cafeteria of the former school. Stop by, meet your neighbors and enjoy a great meal. We are requesting volunteers to help Lou Robles in the kitchen – call 303-297-1962 for information or to offer your help.
Remember how much fun we had at last year’s parish bazaar? We got to know each other, introduced the parish to our  Globeville neighbors and even made some money! We’re going to do it again this summer, Sunday, August 28th. We are having our second planning meeting Wednesday, June 15th at 6:00 pm in the parish office and welcome you to join us with your ideas.
Father’s Day Spiritual Bouquet: We have placed Father’s Day cards on the table at the entrance of the church. Please fill in your intentions and place a donation. We will collect these envelopes on Sunday, June 12 and these intentions will be offered in all the Masses Father’s Day weekend.

 
El Domingo 12 de Junio, tendrenos nuestro tradicional desayuno de panqueques después de cada Misa en Ingles en la antigua escuala de Holy Rosary. Este evento se seguirá efectuando el primer Domingo de cada mes. Te invitamos a apoyarnos en la recaudación de fondos para nuestra Parroquia. $ 5.00 compra de un abundante desayuno de tocino, huevos, y tiene marrones. Ramillete Espiritual por el Día del Padre: Hemos puesto unas tarjetas en la mesa de la entrada para el Día del Padre. Favor de tomar una y llenar los datos con sus intenciones; favor de colocar un donativo y regresar los sobres a la Iglesia. Estas intenciones se van a ofrecer en todas las misas el Domingo 19 de Junio por Día del padre. Gracias.
